Activity: Halloween Party

Time:7:30p.m-9:40p.m
Venue: the 2nd floor of canteen
Objectives:
1. To provide the students opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in speaking English.
2. To bring students a chance to get to know Halloween, one of the Western Festivals, and culture.
Participants: Sophomores of English majors, some English teachers and other students from different departments in old campus.
Programs
(7:15-7:30) Making an entry
Attendants should be dressed up or made up, and will be asked “Treat or Trick”to give some candies at the gate of the venue.---------------------------------------------------------------------Forman

(8:05-8:10)Grouping
Participants are divided into 6 groupsand six organizers will be the leader of each group. Girls of English majors from 2 dormsin one group; boys of English majors, teachers and non-English majors join a group by their willingness.----------------------------The host and other six organizers
(8:10-8:20)Game 1: Bring me something!
The Host asks one of each group, for example, No. 6, to bring one thing from them, such as shoe, cellphoneand etc.The fastest one will be the winner, and all the members from the winner group will get one candy.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------All participants
(8:25-8:40)Game 2: Pass on a secret!
The leader of each team will get a secretfrom the host, and then passes it on among ten persons in the team one by one. When the tenth person get the secret, he or should raise hand, and after all the team finish the game, the host will ask the last person of each group to speak out their secrets. If it is as the same as the original one, everyone in the group will get one candy, and the fastest team will be the winner, and two candies for each member of the winner group.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Ten members of each group
(8:45-9:15)Game 3: Who is the most creative ghostfor tonight!
Each group discusses together and selects the most creative ghost. Then six candidates come to the platform and give a show like fashion models do and then give us the reason why he or she is the most creative ghost. The candidate who getsthe most applaud or scream, will be the winner and get five candies and a Jack-o-lantern, and every member from the winner’s group will get one candy.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All the participates
